In theme with the week of the strike of the Consumers, I took the opportunity this weekend to try out a couple of simple vegan recipe, and to produce my first liter of soy milk.
I started on Friday evening with a normal cannellini bean soup :
soaked 500 g of beans the night before (I always soak for 24 hours even if you only need a lot less), I have prepared a Coccione soffrittino of olive oil and leek ( a whole leek), low heat once I added the gold leek cannelloni and I've skipped a few minutes, then I covered with a quart of hot water and two scoops of nut plant bio (the yellow Naturasia, because it is made of spices instead of salt and stuff) and let simmer for two hours at the end I added a sprinkling of yeast flakes, pepper sauce and shoyu.
Good very good, energetic, uplifting and useful: the beans are rich in lecithin, a phospholipid that favors fat emulsion, preventing the accumulation in the blood and thereby reduce the level of cholesterol, are especially rich in soluble fiber which promote better digestion, help restore kidney functions due to the trace elements they contain.
Today for lunch I improvised instead of small balls of eggplant and chickpeas :
I cut an eggplant into small cubes and I spent big in padellacon garlic, marjoram, curry and paprika, I shake mixer in a box of organic pre-cooked chickpeas (netengo emergency "food in 5 minutes") with some 'extra virgin olive oil, garlic, cashew nut and a handful of some taralli Puglia, I added the eggplant and I kneaded, formed small balls put them on the plate with parchment paper and baked in the oven for the first minutes at 200 degrees , then I turn and finished the cooking grill for 8 minutes. I put them in the middle delpiatto and accompanied by fresh tomatoes and green olives sprinkled with mustard.
Chickpeas among other things contribute to lowering the llivello of "bad" cholesterol in the blood, while the eggplants have the ability to absorb the good fats that surround the food ^ ^
Finally the thing that I was the most satisfying production of my first liter of soy milk !
Since my diet is turning increasingly to the vegan, and since that cow's milk now see it as a cow pus and it makes me sick at the thought of drinking, consumption rather significant amount of vanilla soy milk, which But has the nasty side effect of cost on average € 2.50 per liter, fuck. Reckless:
- 1 liter of soy milk ready around € 2.50;
- 500g soy bean bio € 1.93;
- x 1 liter of soy milk to be 100g of soya beans, a piece kombu seaweed, a pinch of salt, a pinch of vanilla and a tablespoon of agave syrup, total € 0.70 cent to say so, including the gas and tap water;
moral - with € 2.50 a liter of milk ready I make almost four times as much. This is nothing ....... ^ ^
