AND 7 BROTHERS San Francesco del Deserto island in the Venetian Lagoon, covering approximately 2 hectares, located between Sant 'Erasmo and Burano. It houses a convent of Friars Minor, which was originally founded by St. Francis himself. In March 1233, Jacopo Michiel gave the island in perpetuity to the Friars Minor of the Franciscan convent of the Frari in Venice, which built a monastery.
